Any text in your drawing can be considered a link. So, let's take the first example. If I select this piece of text and control-click the new link button, this document is opened in a new note, and what you can notice is that this document was sitting in the same folder as my drawing. If I control-click, then this is going to be created in the vault root because that is the setting I have under files in Obsidian. If you change it to a different setting, then, of course, it is going to follow the Obsidian default for creating the new file. So if I control-click in this case, the new folder is created with the document sitting inside it. If I click a text that doesn't contain a valid file name and I click the link button, I get an error message reminding me that a question mark is not an allowed character. This is the only file it's in my Excalidraw folder. It was located again with the default Obsidian feature. If, however, I have a new drawing or I want to create a new drawing, so I write demo drawing dot Excalidraw and click the link, then a Markdown document is created. This is default Obsidian behavior.
