Hey, welcome to the final chapter of the introduction to Excalidraw in Obsidian. In this part, I want to show you how to transclude your images into your documents. You open the command palette and you type in "Transclude" to transclude an Excalidraw file into a markdown document. You select this command, and you can simply select the document you want to insert. You can press enter or you can click on the name of the file. With this, a code block is inserted with the link to the file. Now if I switch to preview, I can see the file was transcluded. [* ](https://youtu.be/JQeJ-Hh-xAI?t=0)
If I'm unhappy with the width of the image, I can add a pipe character, and I can set a different width, or with an "x," I can also set a different height as well. I'm just going to set a width for my image, and you can see that the drawing is now bigger. I can also go to settings, and for the Excalidraw plugin, there's a default width setting that I can change from 400 to 800, for example. With this, I can remove my custom width and you will see that indeed the width of the image remained the same because now I set the default to 800. [* ](https://youtu.be/JQeJ-Hh-xAI?t=43)
Now, if I would want to have this smaller, then I could go back and say 400, and then you can see that the image is smaller. So, this is the way you can get images transcluded in your markdown documents. And with this, I conclude the introduction of the plugin. I hope that you will find this plugin helpful and valuable, and enjoy using Excalidraw and Obsidian. Thank you! [* ](https://youtu.be/JQeJ-Hh-xAI?t=102)
